Love is in the air at Rockefeller Plaza.

Last November, a woman named Jenn Mendez called into the Hoda Kotb Show to describe how she met her fiance Lane Stowe years earlier outside the TODAY Show. And on Thursday, they’ll get hitched on live TV, with their loved ones by their side in the studio.

Tourist attraction-averse Stowe caught Mendez’s attention when he made a sarcastic crack about fulfilling his life’s dream by seeing Kathie Lee Gifford and Kotb through the window — and she fired right back with a flirty reply.

“We started talking, and it ended up that he had lived in the town where I had grown up after I was already gone. His boss had been someone I had sung with in high school. He dated a girl from my graduating class,” Mendez said Wednesday on Hoda. “I gave him my number, I did not ask for his, because I thought after all it is a street corner in New York, let’s not go all crazy.”

They started texting immediably, talked for three hours on the phone that night and met for a first date in Baltimore, halfway between his home in Pennsylvania and where she lived in Virginia. Just over three years later, Stowe popped the question at a college football game.

As it turns out, the sport is the one thing the lovebirds don’t agree on: Mendez is a diehard Philadelphia Eagles fan, while Stowe bleeds blue for the New York Giants.

“Tomorrow, please, people in the city of Philadelphia, I hope you’ll tune in to see a Philadelphia Eagle finally get a ring,” he joked to Kotb.

“This is my life,” Mendez said. “I’ve signed up for this.”

See the happy couple tie the knot Thursday morning on NBC’s TODAY Show. The Hoda Kotb Show airs Mondays and Wednesdays at 2 pm ET, with replays at 5 pm ET, on SiriusXM TODAY Show Radio (Ch. 108).
