Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel joined The Morning Mash Up on SiriusXM Hits 1 to talk about teaming up again for their new movie, Sex Tape.

To start, Segel shared why instead of simply making a sequel to Bad Teacher (which the duo originally starred in together), he preferred to do an entirely new movie with Diaz.

“You know, I’ve always felt like if something works in a movie (and I think that there was like something worked in Bad Teacher), take those elements and make a whole new movie around it. That’s what I’ve always thought. I don’t see a need for sequels just for sequels sake.”

Later, Diaz talked about how people should make time for sex in a relationship.

“I think [sex] is like a discipline. It’s like anything you wanna be present with and have in your life. Everybody’s like, ‘I don’t have time to work out. I don’t have time to eat right. I don’t have time to make the bed.’ Whatever it is, it’s a practice. So, anything you want to have more of in your life you have to consciously make the effort to make time for it. That’s really what, if anything, what this film is saying.”

The stars also talked about whether they have ever accidentally sent a naughty text to the wrong person.

“I luckily have avoided that, but I’ve heard many a tale,” Segel said.

Segel also spoke about seeing his How I Met Your Mother co-star Neil Patrick Harris in the Broadway musical Hedwig and the Angry Inch.

“I saw Neil Patrick Harris do Hedwig last night. It’s a revelation, it’s like seeing somebody doing exactly what they’re meant to be doing, if that makes any sense. I once saw Bono perform and I remember having the thought, it was like kind of an emotional thought, like ‘Oh there’s no version of Bono the lawyer. That’s a guy doing exactly what he’s supposed to be doing. That’s what I felt watching Neil last night. It was great to see him doing that.”
