Alter Bridge burst onto the music scene in 2004 with the release of their gold-selling debut, One Day Remains. After three more studio albums, countless sold-out tours in Europe and North America, and a guitar solo voted “Greatest Guitar Solo Of All Time” by Guitarist Magazine, the band — who’s lineup has been consistent since its formation — is back with a brand new album, The Last Hero, due out 10/7.

Octane (Ch. 37) listeners got an exclusive taste of the record when Alter Bridge debuted the new single Show Me  A Leader earlier this morning on Grant Random’s show.

“Show Me a Leader is a reflection of how polarized and fractured things are in our society,” singer Myles Kennedy told us. “This song doesn’t push an agenda, it simply expresses a very common sense of disillusionment people seem to be feeling at this point in time.”

Stream the song exclusively below, then grab a copy for yourself when it goes on sale Tuesday 7/26.
