’64 on 6… A 1964 Weekend: Cousin Brucie broadcasts live from The Fest for Beatles Fans

Airtime: February 7 at 3 pm ET – February 10 at 3 am ET on ’60s on 6
Live From The Fest For The Beatles: Saturday, February 8 from 6 pm ET – 9 pm ET

60s on 6 DJ and longtime radio personality Cousin Brucie (aka Bruce Morrow) knew The Beatles when. In fact, the host of Cruisin’ with Cousin Brucie (Live 5 pm ET on Wednesdays) and Cousin Brucie’s Saturday Rock and Roll Party (Saturdays 8 pm ET) has an unthinkable amount of Beatles cred.

In 1965, Brucie introduced The Beatles during the first of their Shea Stadium concerts, AND he and DJ Dan Ingram did an on-air interview with Paul, George, Ringo, and John from the band’s suite at the Warwick Hotel.

Anyway, while you celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Beatles touching down on U.S. soil this weekend (i.e., holding an entire catalog’s worth of listening parties and/or convincing your boyfriend that he’d look dashing with a bowl cut), make sure to tune into ’60s on 6 when it becomes “’64 on 6… A 1964 Weekend.”

“’64 on 6… A 1964 Weekend” will play the biggest British hits of 1964, AND the very same Cousin Brucie will broadcast live from The Fest For Beatles Fans 2014 in New York City on Saturday, February 8th, from 6 pm ET – 9 pm ET. The event will feature live performances as well as interviews with special guests and audience members as they reminisce on their favorite memories of 1964.
