50 Cent has a long track record of feuding with fellow rappers, record label executives and even convicted criminals. But his ability to engage his enemies and ultimately survive the beef has allowed him to succeed where others might have failed.

During an interview on SiriusXM FLY, host Heather B asked 50 Cent, who now stars on BET’s new comedic variety show 50 Central, whether he ever worried his antics against the likes of Ja Rule, The Game, Rick Ross and others would backfire.

His response? “No, ’cause we was really out there.”

He went on to explain that the reason he could stand strong in the face of these feuds was that he was steadfast about them and had nothing to hide.

“If a person says they don’t care and they genuinely are like faking it or they’re just saying it, is one thing,” he said. “At those points, we were looking at things, and I’m going like ‘I don’t care. I’d rather it just be over.’ So if it don’t go the way I want it to go, then it is, get rich or die in the process.”

Elsewhere during the interview with Heather B., 50 Cent talks about how he and Heather first met, his new comedy show 50 Central, what he regrets in life and more.

The Happy Hour with Heather B. airs weeknights on SiriusXM FLY (Ch. 47).
