Founded in San Francisco in 1973, Journey took a few years to gain commercial notoriety with hits like “Don’t Stop Believing,” “Open Arms,” and “Any Way You Want It.” Although the membership was slightly fluid in the early years, the band is most recognized for its lineup of vocalist Steve Perry, keyboardist Jonathan Cain, guitarist Neal Schon, drummer Steve Smith and bassist Ross Valory.
