The Houston Rockets ended their season Thursday night withone of the most miserable playoff elimination games in recent memory.

At home, backs to the wall, against a Kawhi Leonard and Tony Parker-less Spurs team in Game 6 of the Western Conference semis, James Harden and the Rockets couldn’t be bothered to put up a fight en route to a 39-point loss.

Add to that: Harden’s (lack of) effort was inexplicable. Not only did he score just 10 points (on 2-of-11 shooting), but he turned the ball over six times and oftentimes seemed completely disengaged while on the court.

SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio’s Adam Schein blasted Harden the morning after the puzzling performance.

“That was James Harden rolling over and playing dead,” Harden said. “That was James Harden quitting on himself, on Mike D’Antoni, on his teammates, on the fans of the Houston Rockets.”
