When the Cleveland Browns acquired linebacker Jamie Collins in an in-season trade with the New England Patriots, Hue Jackson wasn’t looking at it as a brief stop.
The Browns’ coach saw Collins as an integral long-term member of his team.
‘Show him where he’s going to be a huge piece’
And that is something Jackson has tried to convey to Collins through the final week of practice of the regular season.
“I just let him to know that we really want him here and try to have him see the vision of what we’re trying to create,” Jackson told Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan on Movin’ The Chains. “And show him where he’s going to be a huge piece of that. And hopefully ask him to stay here in Cleveland.”
