Billy Ocean and the O’Jays combine for our first concert and interview caught on the Soul Train Cruise. Both deliver a great performance of their key songs including, For The Love Of Money, I Love Music, Caribbean Queen, and Love Zone.

Stephanie Mills returns to The Groove, with her second Soul Train Cruise concert and interview since starring in the Wiz Live! She sings Never Knew Love Like This Before, Whatcha Gonna Do With My Lovin’ and Home.

Howard Hewett took the stage on the Soul Train Cruise he’s the former lead singer of Shalamar and now 10 years inside of his solo career combines a show from both eras.. He performed a medley of Shalamar songs including A Night To Remember and his solo hits I’m For Real, and Show Me.

The Whispers have been performing for 52 years. They recently suffered the loss of member Nick Caldwell. Their Interview & Show Soul Train Cruise dedicated time to Nick who wrote several big tracks for the group. Songs include It’s A Love Thing, And The Beat Goes On, and Keep On Loving Me

The California Roots Music and Arts Festival is born of the spirit with which Jimi Hendrix appeared on stage in the ‘60s in the same space at the Monterey Fairgrounds and affected forever the way an entire generation looked at music festivals and life itself. ‘Cali Roots’ as it is popularly known is that type of movement.
