Hollywood-based honky tonker Dwight Yoakam has been associated with California’s country heritage throughout his 30 year career, including his 1988 hit duet with Buck Owens on The Streets of Bakersfield. So it was a homecoming of sorts for his recent performance at Bakersfield’s intimate and historic Fox Theater last month.

Performing songs from his debut album Guitars, Cadillacs, Etc., Etc. through his 2015 release Second Hand Heart, alongside covers of Buck Owens, Merle Haggard, The Beatles and Elvis Presley, Yoakam’s entire concert was captured live for SiriusXM, and will be airing multiple times throughout the holiday season on the Prime Country, Outlaw Country and Red White, & Booze channels.
