San Francisco 49ers 2014 training camp report from SiriusXM NFL Radio

August 14, 2014

SiriusXM NFL Radio’s 10th annual training camp tour headed to the brand-new Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif., as Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan stopped by San Francisco 49ers camp on Aug. 13.

San Francisco 49ers to Watch

Jim Miller is watching linebacker Corey Lemonier:

“He’s a second-year player. Last year recorded 14 tackles, one sack, one forced fumble, a safety, plus had three pass break ups, while adding six tackles on special teams […] in someway shape and form you’ve got to make up for the production and the loss of Aldon Smith.”

Pat Kirwan is eyeing quarterback Colin Kaepernick and the entire 49ers offensive scheme:

“The expectations are for a Super Bowl here and you can’t do that unless your quarterback plays great football […] I want to see more touch passes early in the season, and I want to see what personnel group they fall in love with […] if things don’t look beautiful early in the passing game, do they panic and go back to a hardcore 70 percent run? That’s what I want to know.”
