Denver Broncos 2014 training camp report from SiriusXM NFL Radio

August 14, 2014

SiriusXM NFL Radio’s 10th annual training camp tour headed a mile high to the training camp of the defending AFC Champion Denver Broncos as Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan stopped by Dove Valley, Col., on Aug. 11.

Denver Broncos to Watch

Jim Miller looks at LB Nate Irving, who is replacing departed linebacker Wesley Woodyard:”

[He] has some big, beefy defensive tackles in front of him. You would think the pass rush with Miller and DeMarcus Ware is also going to free him up [...] so far so good according to the Denver Broncos as how he’s looked in camp.”

Pat Kirwan has his eye on cornerback Kayvon Webster, who is of more concern to him than Nate Irving:

“Kayvon Webster is coming in the game right now as the nickel and he’s replacing Nate [Irving] who will leave the field because he’s a first- and second-down player. Last year the Denver Broncos were 65 percent of the time in a sub defense, which means Webster is going to play more than Nate Irving if things are the same as they were last year [...] he’s gotta come through for them or they are going to have problem.”
