Green Bay Packers 2014 training camp report from SiriusXM NFL Radio

August 7, 2014

SiriusXM NFL Radio’s 10th annual training camp tour rolled into Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisc., as Bruce Murray and Rich Gannon visited Green Bay Packers camp on Wednesday, Aug. 6.

Green Bay Packers to Watch

Rich Gannon is watching center J.C. Tretter on offense throughout the preseason:

“That’s a position that’s had a lot of turnover and that concerns me a little bit [...] he’s not guaranteed that spot, there’s some competition there [...] with a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers you want to be strong down the middle.”

On defense, Gannon puts the spotlight on linebacker/defensive end Julius Peppers:

“He’s got to play well. He’s got to be disruptive. You talk about playing the outside linebacker position, I think he’s going to be in a three-point stance a lot more than he’s going to be in a two-point stance [...] he needs to have an outstanding season.”
