Washington Redskins 2014 training camp report from SiriusXM NFL Radio

August 6, 2014

SiriusXM NFL Radio’s 10th annual training camp tour continued on Monday, Aug. 4th, as Jim Miller and Pat Kirwan visited with the Washington Redskins in Richmond, Va. The Redskins were hosts of their own during the stop, as they welcomed the New England Patriots to town for joint practices leading up to their Week 1 preseason game.

Washington Redskins to Watch

Jim Miller is watching RG III to see if he can improve on his struggles from last season:

“The [giveaways] gotta get better. Gotta get sharper in his reads. Better feel in terms of the pocket passing game of Jay Gruden.”

Pat Kirwan agrees with Jim on RG III, but also will be eyeing rookie LB Trent Murphy:

“They need to be pretty good on third down and they need some flexibility, and I think Trent Murphy has a chance, because he can play down or up, to be an interesting player for them as the season goes on.”
