Put yourself in these shoes: You’re driving through the streets of your hometown trying to unwind after a tough day at work. You pull over to text a friend, when two armed men who the entire city is looking for jump into your car and hold you at gun point.

That’s what happened to a man named Danny in April 2013 after the Boston Marathon bombings.

Scott Helman, one of the authors of the new book, Long Mile Home: Boston Under Attack, the City’s Courageous Recovery, and the Epic Hunt for Justice, called into the Michael Smerconish Program on POTUS to tell the story of the Boston Marathon Bombing suspects carjacking, and how that led to their capture. He also sets the record straight on rumors swirling that night.
