If Sour Shoes hosted The Late Show

April 8, 2014

At the moment, the Bovada Sportsbook is giving Howard Stern 25/1 odds to replace David Letterman as the host of The Late Show. Stephen Colbert is No. 1 at 5/2, followed by Conan O’Brien (5/1) and Jon Stewart (11/2).

Conspicuously absent from the list of 14 hosts, entertainers and comedians is Stern Show wack packer Sour Shoes. In the event he does emerge as a favorite, Howard 100 News reporter Shuli Egar asked Sour how he’d approach late-night television.

“I would love to do it,” Sour said. “I know we’re starving for a new kind of format in the late-night hours. So I would propose we would do it right from here, right from the room here in the house.”

“I intro, I come up the stairs into the room. And then we cue the band, the band comes in,” Sour continued. “Scott the Engineer on drums, maybe Hanzi on background vocals. And the band is also in the bed with me. And the guest comes and snuggles right up next to me. And then the guest asks me, I don’t ask the guest anything.”

As for surprises throughout the hour:

“Then all the sudden, crashing through the window is a drum set, coming out of nowhere, and knocking into us. And then there’s a big ol’ heaping baking pan of lasagna.”

Tell me that wouldn’t be No. 1.
