You might already know singer-songwriter Jack Antonoff as either one-third of indie-pop outfit fun., Lena Dunham’s be-speckled BF, or even the former lead singer of NJ-based indie-rock project Steel Train.
These days, however, Jack’s rocking a side gig called Bleachers — a project he was working on in secret for much of last year.
Bleachers’ first single, a charming indie-pop sing-along called I Wanna Get Better, has been out since mid-February, and has an equally charming (and, well, self-deprecating) music video, directed by Dunham herself.
To support Bleachers’ upcoming debut LP (dropping in the spring), Antonoff stopped by SiriusXM to perform a live rendition of I Wanna Get Better, which — no surprises here — sounds as rich and full as the recorded version.
