Ty Burrell, who plays ABC’s favorite funny father on the hit mockumentary-style sitcom Modern Family, recently stopped by OutQ to emphasize just how much it means to the cast to hear about the positive impact the show has had on families, especially those facing hard times. He also went on to say that the writers of the show “work twice as hard as” the cast does. Larry Flick pointed out that the comedic collaboration is what makes Modern Family so hilariously relateable, even comparing his own relationship with his long-time partner to that of Phil and Claire Dunphy.
“There’s nothing like doing a comedy… We all share our roles very evenly on Modern Family,” Burrell said. “[The show] really seems to lighten people’s hearts. It’s an incredible feeling.”
