Following a massive chemical spill by Freedom Industries into the water supply in Charleston, West Virginia, it is still unclear what exactly spilled, and it is also unclear if proper tests have been conducted.
The last ‘do not use’ ban was lifted this past Saturday, which usually means the water is safe to use and safe to drink. However, a level of the coal-cleaning chemical mixture that seeped into the Elk River, crude MCHM, is still present in the water.
Sam, a West Virginia resident and a listener to The Agenda on SiriusXM Progress, told host Ari Rabin-Havt early Wednesday morning that no information is getting to West Virginians about what exactly happened. Sam, who is currently a truck driver out on the road, says that his wife had to travel 50 miles to the next county just to take a shower.
The Agenda with Ari Rabin-Havt airs live Monday through Friday, 6 – 9 am ET on SiriusXM Progress, Ch. 127.
