With Mud and Dallas Buyers Club, Matthew McConaughey’s year in film has been epic. But with film ranking higher in the Hollywood food chain, Entertainment Weekly Editor and EW Radio host Jess Cagle wanted to know why McConaughey would even bother with TV?
“It was another great role. The one common denominator in all the choices I’ve been trying to make lately is great characters, and great roles, and great stories,” McConaughey said. “It didn’t really concern me that it was TV. I didn’t look at it as ‘other than’ what I was already doing.”
