Following an impressive AFC Wild Card win over the Kansas City Chiefs, SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio’s Jeff Mans and Ted Schuster broke down Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck‘s fantasy value heading into the 2014 season.
He’s not an elite fantasy quarterback. He is a better real-life quarterback than a fantasy quarterback.
[The Colts offense] is not an offense that wants to outscore the opposition by 20-30 points a game. They are going to run out the clock and that is going to hinder Andrew [Luck’s fantasy value]. Ideally, in a perfect situation, Andrew Luck is not going to get above the 18-point barrier that we need in fantasy leagues. He is not an elite guy. I think [preseason eighth-ranked QB in 2014] is the absolute highest, but he will settle in the 10-12 range.
