Best of 2013: Adam Schein’s top 5 monologues

December 25, 2013

SiriusXM Mad Dog Sports Radio producer Jared Moore ranks Schein on Sports host Adam Schein’s top five monologues of 2013.

Throughout the 2013 year, Adam Schein gave his takes on events ranging from national triumphs, to shocking arrests, to cheating and bullying scandals. From the Boston Red Sox and Miami Heat winning championships in their respective sports, to the Aaron Hernandez murder charge, Schein always provided an honest, hard-hitting take – no matter the issue at hand. These five stories represent the 2013 year in sports, as told by Schein:

LeBron James‘ Jordan moment

The day after the Miami Heat defeated the San Antonio Spurs in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, Schein praised LeBron James for his dominant performance.

Reaction to Aaron Hernandez murder charges

Following charges that Aaron Hernandez murdered 27-year old Odin Lloyd, Adam explained why Hernandez would never play another game in the NFL, regardless of the outcome of his trial.

Ryan Braun a “disgrace”

Schein didn’t pull any punches as he ripped Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Ryan Braun, who was suspended for his involvement in the Biogenesis scandal. Schein characterized Braun as a “fraud” and a “liar.”

Love to the World Series-champion Red Sox

After the Boston Red Sox defeated the St. Louis Cardinals in Game 6 of the World Series, Schein tipped his cap to Ben Cherington, John Farrell and the Red Sox organization. He also explained why even the biggest Red Sox haters had to love the story of how Boston went worst-to-first in a single season.

Dolphins criticism following Jonathan Martin-Richie Incognito allegations

Schein blamed the Miami Dolphins organization for placing Richie Incognito on a leadership council. He also charged that there’s no place in professional sports for Incognito’s alleged actions.
