Week 14 was arguably the most wild week of football of the 2013 season. It was also one of the most important, as the NFL playoff picture continued to take shape.
The Cincinnati Bengals were one of the teams to lock down a crucial victory Sunday, a win over the Indianapolis Colts putting Cincinnati in position to grab hold of a first-round bye. Bengals receiver A.J. Green discussed the win on SiriusXM NFL Radio.
“This late in the season, all wins matter,” Green said. “We can set ourselves up real nice going into the postseason, and have some momentum.”
New England Patriots receiver Danny Amendola joined SiriusXM NFL Radio to talk about his team’s thrilling come-from-behind win against the Cleveland Browns. Like the Bengals, the Patriots are fighting for a first-round playoff bye.
“We’re all really excited, you know, we have a lot of fighters on this team,” Amendola said. “When you get in a hole like that in the fourth quarter, all you can really do is just focus on executing the plays.”
Miami Dolphins defensive end Cameron Wake and Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Marlon Brown talked about winning their respective games; wins that kept both teams tied for the second and final AFC wild card spot.
