Hungerthon charity auction: Joshua Bell experience

December 6, 2013

Get a taste of the classics — now thanks to WhyHunger’s online charity auction, fans of Joshua Bell can bid on the chance to score two tickets to see him at the Kennedy Center. The lucky winner will not only get to attend his show on February 1, 2014, they’ll also have the opportunity to meet the man himself backstage.

Want to know a little more about Bell? He’s a distinguished (Grammy Award-winning!) violinist with a more than 20-year career under his belt; he’s also a conductor and pretty much a superstar in the classical world.

Take the time to stop, bid and listen to the music. Don’t let this chance pass you by — we’d hate to see you be one of those in-a-rush commuters in the video below. (A few years ago Bell participated in an experiment to see if DC Metro commuters would stop and listen to him playing in a crowded, rush-hour station. The result was captured in the below video).

SiriusXM is participating in WhyHunger’s Hungerthon charity auction to help bring awareness to the fight against hunger and poverty. From now through December 12, a number of SiriusXM channels will be participating in WhyHunger’s online auction with rare memorabilia and experiences. To get in on the auction action, check out the Hungerthon’s official site during the designated times.  You can also take a look at all of the auction items and full details at our designated site.
