Haim’s Fave Females
Friday, 12/6 7 pm ET on SiriusXM U
Rebroadcasting Saturday, 12/7 at 7 am & 3 pm ET; Sunday, 12/8 at 10 am ET.
As if that weren’t enough, you can get another dose of Haim when they continue to completely take over the reigns of the SiriusXM U studios. Listen in as they play tracks from their fave female artists including Bat For Lashes, Cat Power and more.
Who’s one of their favorite bands right now? Haim confess that they can’t get enough of Chvrches, mainly because of their “really rad” female vocalist Lauren Mayberry. “Lauren kills it for ladies, all day, every day,” they said.
The band also notes that they have a slight obsession with Bat For Lashes — especially being a huge fan of musician Natasha Khan. The girls recalled having multiple embarrassing fan-encounters with Khan, specifically this one time backstage at a festival bathroom.
“We all had creepy interactions with Natasha,” they said. “She might think that we’re the creepiest girl band, ’cause we were totally fangirling.”
One of their all-time biggest inspirations is Kate Bush. Haim dived into how each of them personally discovered Kate Bush and the resulting life-altering affects her music had on them personally and artistically. “Our lives all changed once we heard Hounds of Love,” they said.
