SiriusXM’s post-election day coverage

November 6, 2013

It’s Day One after The Gubernatorial Election 2013. As a result, there is a whirlwind of political questions, comments and predictions swirling through the airwaves of SiriusXM.

Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) had a lot to tell SiriusXM Patriot host Mike Church about what he learned from last night’s election results. Some of the topics on his radar were the libertarians in Virginia, the true origin of ObamaCare and the grassroots Tea Party – which he claims “breathed new life” into the struggling Republicans.

SiriusXM’s Progress host Ari Rabin-Havt took some time to delve into the future of Gov. Chris Christie (R-NJ). Despite his landslide win over Sen. Barbara Buono (D-NJ), he is not worried about Christie winning a Republican primary in the 2016 Presidential Election. Rabin-Havt insists that Christie’s “schtick” of yelling at people all the time may work in New Jersey, but certainly won’t jibe across the rest of the country.

Rabin-Havt also discussed extreme Conservative Ken Cuccinelli’s (R-VA) narrow loss to Democrat Terry McAuliffe (D-VA) in Virginia. He noted that conservatives may have themselves to blame for the recent poll results. “Conservatives seem to be setting themselves up for failure… The right really had this guy’s back, and he flamed out,” Rabin-Havt said.
