Recurring mishaps in election voting?

Stepping out of the election booth, one should feel they’ve just completed their duty as an American citizen. However, just like in the past, it seems a long list of voting obstacles may have gotten in the way this election year.

According to journalist and election integrity advocate Brad Friedman, there is a long list of failures in the voting system that he has been warning people about to no avail for the last ten years. Things like touch screen voting systems, long lines and paper ballot op-scan systems are just a few of the factors that are causing voting mishaps.

Chris Melody Fields also had unfavorable words for this year’s governor elections. Poll places opening late, confusion on the Voter ID Law and incorrect information relayed by poll workers are just a few of the “systematic problems that we see each voting year.”

Stayed tuned for more election coverage throughout the day.
