The front man of fantasy sports, ESPN’s Matthew Berry, joined Colton and The Wolfman Tuesday night on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio to give his thoughts on the fantasy football season.
Berry weighed in on New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston, and tried to make sense of why he’s not living up to fantasy football owners’ expectations this season.
If you look at Colston’s career, 70 percent of his touchdowns over his career have come in the redzone. Colston has always been a five-for-68, a seven-for-70 kind of guy [referring to catches and receiving yardage]. He’s not getting as many targets as he used to, and he’s certainly not getting any targets in the redzone. If I’m a fantasy owner, Colston I think is [a player that can be dropped] in 10-team leagues.
Berry also talked about struggling Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Dwayne Bowe and quarterback Philip Rivers’ bounce-back season in San Diego.
