Saddled with an aging defense, little semblance of a competitive running game and down star players Mike Wallace and James Harrison, expectations for the Pittsburgh Steelers were not very high coming into the 2013 season. Four losses in the first four weeks, and now the Steelers are already buried, a postseason berth just about an afterthought.
But despite Pittsburgh’s ugly start, SiriusXM NFL Radio host Bill Polian feels there is one thing Steelers fans should be proud of: the recent play of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger.
“Ben Roethlisberger put on the greatest single individual display, south of Peyton Manning and Tom Brady and Drew Brees, that I have seen in a long time, maybe in my entire career,” Polian said, referring to Sunday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings in London. “Ben’s performance was absolutely unbelievable.”
Listen below to hear Polian’s thoughts on what Roethlisberger did great in the loss, and how he feels about the Steelers’ offensive line and running game.
