Whether it’s being benched for Mike Glennon, facing ridicule for oversleeping, or the recent leak of possible drug use, nothing seems to be going right in Tampa Bay for Buccaneers quarterback, Josh Freeman.
While head coach Greg Schiano hasn’t been an advocate of Freeman of late, Tampa Bay left tackle Donald Penn joined SiriusXM NFL Radio and showed some support for his teammate.
“I feel bad for Josh, you know, being put in this situation,” Penn said. “They’re really trying to bring him down, and Josh is a great guy.”
Penn also showed his belief in Freeman’s ability, and future in the NFL.
“Josh is a going to go somewhere else and he’s going to very successful,” he said. “He’s a great quarterback, and things just didn’t work out. That’s just part of the game.”
