Weekend sports talk: What’s Riley Cooper’s future with Eagles?

NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Fran Tarkenton told Dan Graca on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio that he thinks Riley Cooper will “never play a down for the Philadelphia Eagles” again, and that Cooper will have a tough time landing with another team following the racist remarks he made at a concert last week.

On MLB Network Radio, Boston Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington reacted to comments former outfielder Cody Ross made about the organization. Ross, who is now with the Arizona Diamondbacks, had told WEEI in Boston that the Sox “lied to my face.”

The SiriusXM NFL Radio Training Camp Tour stopped in Latrobe, Pa., at Steelers camp on Friday. Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin spoke about a roster that underwent an offseason makeover.

Kasey Kahne, who won what Claire B. Lang called an “aggressive” race at the GoBowling.com 400, spoke with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio about getting back into victory lane for the first time since March.

Following his win at The US Cellular 250, Brad Keselowski spoke about the success he’s had at Iowa Speedway on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
