Kaskade stopped by the SiriusXM New York headquarters Monday for Electric Area’s Electric Aquarium to promote his upcoming tour and record release for “Atmosphere,” which will be available later this fall.
The Electric Aquarium featured an interview between Kaskade and Electric Area DJ Ben Harvey, where Kaskade also answered listener questions submitted via twitter.
During the interview, Kaskade was put on the spot by fans looking for unreleased information about his new record. While Kaskade wouldn’t give away many details about the album, he did talk about the recent and controversial pop crossover with EDM. Kaskade assured listeners he was still doing things on his own terms, and said, “I really don’t want to play that game” and, that “nothing is really pop-leaning.”
After the interview, Kaskade took to the decks with a vengeance, even blowing out speakers in the SiriusXM studios while he played live for an in-studio audience and listeners across the nation.
Kaskade has released an official music video for the album’s title track, and starts off on tour to support “Atmosphere” on July 20th at the Marquee nightclub in Las Vegas.
