Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew took to Twitter Thursday to clarify a joke he made at Wednesday’s 4th Annual SiriusXM Celebrity Fantasy Football Draft.

Talking with Steve Phillips and Evan Cohen on SiriusXM Mad Dog Radio, Jones-Drew said that former teammate Greg Jones wasn’t going to block on a running play for Jones-Drew in order to secure a fantasy football win.
“We got on to the 1-yard line, and they were like, ‘We better call this run play.’ I’m like, ‘Greg, don’t do it.’ And he looked at me and he winked. [. . .] He wasn’t going to block the guy.”
Jones-Drew and Jones were playing against one another, according to the running back, who said he had himself on his team.
Jones-Drew was among a handful of celebrity managers at the draft, including Jim Belushi, Austin Dillon, The Miz, A.J. Calloway, Robert Wuhl and Pilar Lastra. Replays of the draft can be heard on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio and at siriusxm.com/ondemand.
