After tragic news that Glee actor Cory Monteith died this past weekend, fans everywhere are mourning the actor. In a special on Entertainment Weekly Radio hosts Dalton Ross and Jenna Morasca spoke with EW’s Tanner Stransky who had met the actor on a number of occasions, and said “[Monteith] had a light and affable presence.” The hosts also discussed how the Glee producers will have to be extra sensitive in handling the issue, especially for any future episodes.
Monteith burst onto the scene with fellow lead actress, and real life girlfriend Lea Michelle, in Glee’s pilot episode. The duo sang “Don’t Stop Believeing” and fans just couldn’t get enough.
Sadly, the 31-year old’s life was cut short when he was found dead by Vancouver police in his hotel room early Saturday. Police say they have not determined the cause of death yet, but there was no foul play. The actor was waging a public battle with substance abuse.
