San Francisco Giants outfielder Hunter Pence, one of the players on the MLB All-Star Game Final Vote ballot, spoke about another player up for a spot on the team–Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig–on Mad Dog Radio’s Schein on Sports.
Pence said that Puig, who has been the center of attention heading into this year’s All-Star Game due to his tremendous numbers in limited playing time, is deserving of consideration.
“I think he’s proven he’s got the talent, he’s done just ridiculous things in the little bit he’s been there,” Pence said. “The truth is that he is [being] considered [for a spot], and he’s definitely talented enough and he’s deserving.”
Pence also spoke with Adam Schein about what it means to make an All-Star team, his affinity for social media, and which pitcher should get the start for the National League All-Star team.
Baseball fans have until 4 pm ET Thursday to vote one player into the All-Star Game for both the National League and American League.
Hear Schein weekdays at 10 am ET on Mad Dog Radio, SiriusXM channel 86, and listen to MLB Network Radio’s coverage from FanFest and Citi Field during All-Star Week on XM channel 89 and Sirius channel 209.
