Former Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Mike Mularkey made an appearance on The SiriusXM Blitz Tuesday, and talked about the process of drafting players into the NFL with damaged reputations.
Current Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon was one of the topics of conversation. Prior to his selection in the 2012 draft, Blackmon, while still at Oklahoma State, was arrested in 2010 on a misdemeanor DUI charge. Blackmon has also dealt with legal issues in the NFL, arrested for driving under the influence in 2012, and suspended for the first four games of the 2013 season for violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.
Hear Mularkey’s thoughts below, and listen to The SiriusXM Blitz weekdays at 11 am ET on SiriusXM NFL Radio, channel 88.
