If you’re a fantasy football player, you’ve probably already got your league’s draft circled on your calendar. To get you prepared, RotoExperts’ Scott Engel ranked the top four running backs heading into the 2013 fantasy football season on SiriusXM Fantasy Sports Radio:

  1. Adrian Peterson, Minnesota Vikings
  2. Arian Foster, Houston Texans
  3. Doug Martin, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
  4. Marshawn Lynch, Seattle Seahawks

According to Engel, Peterson is the consensus No. 1 back in the fantasy game, fresh off his 2,000-yard season.

Engel ranked Foster No. 2 because of his consistency, adding, “There’s a lot to be said for safety in fantasy football.”

Engel said of Martin, the second year back for the Bucs, “When you look at him as a player, the guy is tough, he’s competitive and is an all-around athlete and football player.”

Finally, Lynch’s ability to find the end zone landed him fourth.
