LISTEN: Adam Schein Critical of Jason Kidd Hiring

June 14, 2013

In a move that materialized in just a couple of days, the Brooklyn Nets officially hired recently-retired point guard Jason Kidd as the team’s new head coach Thursday.

Kidd, who spent the 2012-13 season with the New York Knicks, played for the Nets from 2001-08, guiding the team to Eastern Conference championships in 2002 and 2003.

Adam Schein, host of Schein on Sports on SiriusXM’s Mad Dog Radio, was critical of the move, suggesting that free-agent coaching candidates such as George Karl, Lionel Hollins or Brian Shaw would have been better options.

Listen to Schein on Sports weekdays at 10 am ET on SiriusXM channel 86.
